Troubleshooting scanner

Fix camera permission, iframe blocks, and fall back to manual entry.

Camera in the Shopify Admin iframe

The stocktake camera runs inside Shopify Admin. The browser may block the camera until you allow it for the admin domain and for the app. Use HTTPS. Reload the count screen after granting permission.

If another tab is using the camera, close it. iOS Safari sometimes needs a second tap to start the camera after permission.

Manual entry always works

Type the SKU or barcode and submit the count. Hardware scanners that act as a keyboard work in that field. If a barcode is not in the synced catalog, sync products and try again. Deleted Shopify products will not scan.
